"My response to the drawing that I was gifted was based around the domestic, memory and the body. Notions of nesting, camouflage, the body and concealment tied into the feminine by means of materiality that spoke of stitch, warmth and protection.

I used a range of materials that I use in my own practice because they seemed to resonate with these notions that were spoken of and seen in the initial gift.

I would like to investigate this collaborative work further in terms of how it relates to threads in my own practice."
