'Performing a repetitive action of piercing tissue paper felt to me as if I was 'working with' the material, rather than against it. It pushed the already fragile quality of the paper to its limits and gave room for the light to play its part in the piece.

 

I was very intrigued by being able to smell my work. I never thought it could smell of soya sauce.'
